Parent Involvement

Parents' Club

The Parents' Club comprises mothers, fathers and carers, who work together to make Cowes Primary School a better place. You are welcome to come along and meet other parents and help improve your child's school in an enjoyable atmosphere. Parents' Club has a representative on School Council. Meetings are held on Monday afternoons each month. The meeting dates will be in the newsletter.

Becoming a part of the Parents' Club is a great way for new parents to the area to meet, and make possible lifelong friendships for themselves and their children. It also gives their toddlers a chance to meet children that they will eventually go to school with.

School Council

The School council is a voluntary group that plays a key role in the school, and being a member of the school council is a rewarding and challenging experience. Acting as a team, council supports the principal to provide the best possible educational outcomes for students.

Although each councillor brings their own valuable life skills and knowledge to the role, councillors may need to develop skills and acquire knowledge in areas that may be unfamiliar to them.
School Council meetings are usually held on the third Monday of each month. If you have any questions, contact the School Council President, Michael Coghlan.
